LG WebOS tv Homekit Turn on FIX

Cupertino, October 15, 2020

I found a solution to this very frustrating problem. I wanted to hear the starting voice of the TV with Siri. Many of us are not able to turn on their LG TV via Homekit (the shutdown only works. LG has made some changes to their code). After a long day spent with solutions that don't work, including the Homebridge method. I couldn't turn on my TV. I found a solution.
- Activate the Mobile TV Wifi function on the TV.
- You need to reserve an IP address for your TV in the router. Also, if this is not enabled by default, be sure to enable WOL (wake-up) in the router's settings. Be sure to type this IP address somewhere. Also, enter the MAC address of the TV.
- Download Wake Me Up from the Appstore on the selected device.
- Enter the MAC address and IP enter the Lan port try 9 or 7.
- After that, you need to open the Shortcuts application.
- Then add a new one. Select applications add Wake me up.
- Name the command however you want to use it to turn on the LG TV.
- And, as usual, says Hey Siri, "turn on the TV" - that's what I called my order
- Celebrate 🙃
