LIFX issues with HomeKit

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

I had the LIFX Color BR30 lights in the last year, but I never connected them to the HomeKit because I controlled them (no problem, I might add) with Amazon Echo Dot. However, not one to leave alone well enough and concerned about the privacy of Amazon Alexa, I decided to order an Apple HomePod Mini In anticipation of it, I decided to finally open the HomeKit app on iPhone 12 Pro Max using iOS 14.3 When I opened the app, I was surprised to find that all the LIFX bulbs in my living room were somehow populated in the HomeKit In an effort to connect all the other LIFX bulbs to the HomeKit, I clicked Add accessory in the HomeKit app, entered the code HomeKit provided on the LIFX bulb and I waited - a few minutes later, HomeKit gave me a message saying that no accessory could be added After searching and searching, I read that I should have reset the LIFX bulbs I had I wanted to connect them to HomeKit - so I did this four times in an effort to get HomeKit to recognize the bulbs, all to no avail, I re-moved "My Home" from HomeKit and reopened HomeKit application - when I clicked on Add Accessory, it showed me all the lights I had previously tried to connect to HomeKit and they didn't let me start from scratch I then deleted the living room lights as an accessory, I deleted my HomeKit application on iPhone, I disconnected from iCloud, restarted my iPhone, reconnected to iCloud, and then tried to add accessories back to the HomeKit app - all to no avail My questions are: 1-- How is it possible that the lights in the living room are already populated in HomeKit when I have never used them before? 2-Why HomeKit shows me the lights I already wiped when I touch Press accessories and how can I remove them so I can try to start from scratch (those lights don't appear to be installed, they only show up after click Add Accessories); and 3-LIFX is not meant to work perfectly with HomeKit? 4-Since LIFX is the main thing for which I used Alexa and will be the main thing for which I will use HomePod mini, am I better to cancel the order and keep only Alexa? Thank you all and be well.
