Linksys HomeKit's new release, Toshiba's HomeKit update and a lot of questions for the listener about the latest episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast

Belkin-owned Linksys has launched HomeKit support for another Wi-Fi router 6. The AX4200 is now compatible with HomeKit, protecting your smart devices at home and on your own by limiting their access to your local network, servers approved or unrestricted.

Toshiba has also updated its Insignia Fire TVs with HomeKit as well as AirPlay 2.

Listener's questions

Bill T. asked on Twitter if there are motion sensors compatible with HomeKit, which can control the lights. Philips Hue is the most likely solution here, but users can also use the motion sensors built into any outdoor HomeKit room.

Jon wondered if I saw any signs of higher resolution videos coming with HomeKit. Currently, HomeKit cameras are limited to 1080p, despite the 2K and 4K resolution models available. It seems that even with the next Apple update, users will still be stuck at 1080p, although this could change at any time.

Finally, several users wrote to comment on last week's question about four-way HomeKit circuits.
