So I reviewed the HomeKit logs via Homelog and noticed that my Logitech Circle doorbell was generating dozens of motion detection alerts per minute. From searching around, it seems others have experienced this and the current workaround is to turn off motion alerts. I actually have that setting turned off and have for as long as I can remember. What's worrying: Disabling alerts doesn't seem to cause detected/undetected events to be broadcast to all HomeKit-enabled devices, it just stops them from showing. Disabling alerts appears to be a client-side filter, but presumably every macOS/iOS/AppleTV/HomePod still receives the event. I have over a dozen macOS/iOS/AppleTVs/HomePods. I'm guessing this results in hundreds of HomeKit messages/events per minute across all devices? Has anyone fixed the root cause (false positive motion detection) instead of just disabling the notification display? I tried creating a small detection window, setting it to only detect people, etc. The problem seems to persist.
