Logitech visual circle circle ring dead chime kit?

Cupertino, May 26, 2021

My bell worked great. At first it was inappropriate, but I was using a low power transformer. I switched to a 24V 40A transformer and it worked flawlessly for a few weeks. It hasn't worked in the last few days, so I finally spent some time analyzing it today. My first thought was the transformer, because it was cheap and unknown on Amazon and I have it in a box with 2 gangs behind the bell so that it heats up there, but it still outputs a full 24V, so I don't think that's the problem. My next thought was the wiring, because it uses cat5e wiring between the bell and the bell, but although it is at the top of its power, it is still tactile. The ringer works well when powered from USB, so I don't even think that's the problem. The only thing left is the bell. When I check the voltage of the cable coming out of the bell that goes to the bell, I get 1V. I'm not sure what it should be, but I imagine the bell needs more than that. Any idea? I will contact Logitech and see what customer support says.
