Look for a solar intensity sensor

Cupertino, March 12, 2021

Look for indicators to find / build some kind of solar intensity sensor. I don't know any commercials, so I guess I'll have to build it, but then comes I don't know where to start Arduino it seems easy to connect the sensors - but is their homekit library really good for life? Or is the microcontroller too weak to do everything right and sustained for months without the need for constant pampering? Rasberry PI: but then the connection of the sensors will be more complex. And again: I'm not so sure their homekit stuff is 100% stable - or am I wrong so far as I read about it? So, if someone could point me to a success story ... (or a commercial product anyway - I was looking for one, I didn't find anything I liked - yet -). Requirements we have collected so far - should be further adjusted - * Something based on Arduino / Raspberry / ... * PoE powered (I hate batteries) * Adjusted to feel how much heat enters through the glass (so I assume it is oriented towards IR light) * Obviously watertight because it would be mounted on the outside. Do I have to consider anything else?
