Lost the ability to display "composite" devices separately in a recent iOS update?

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

As long as HomeKit existed, you were able to select a "composite" device (one that is added as a single device, but which is actually multiple devices in a group, such as Onelink Safe & Sound smoke detectors, which appears as night light, smoke detector and CO detector in one group) and choose to display devices separately. At some point, an iOS update seems to have regrouped all my accessories and there doesn't seem to be a way to separate them. Even worse, I found that because of this, I can no longer use Siri to address sub-devices by the name I gave them. Am I missing something here?
