I bought a house with Lutron Cassette switches, but the owner took the bridge. I bought an L-BDG2 bridge from eBay and tried to set things up today. 1. Before doing anything, I did 1-2-3 hold, 1-2-3 bridge reset. 2. At the initial setup I had to enter the IP address of the bridge. I was never able to connect to the bridge via wifi. It sounded weird, but the IP setup went smoothly. 3. I was able to set up the Lutron app and easily added a power switch. Everything works perfectly in the Lutron app. So it worked, but I'd like to control everything from HomeKit. 4. Here's the beef ... I can't make Lutron and HomeKit play nice. When I click on the "HomeKit & Siri" option in the Lutron application, I get "Discovering the Lutron system ..." and then "You need to be on your home Wi-Fi network to set up Siri." 5. I have an Eero Pro and 2 beacons along with the Spectrum router. It all works perfectly with HomeKit. Maybe that's the problem, but it's the same network. 6. I'm pretty sure this Lutron Bridge is HomeKit friendly. It has the HomeKit logo at the bottom, along with an 8-digit HomeKit code. 7. Attempting to add the bridge through the Home application does not work. The bridge never appears using the camera or entering the code manually. 8. FWIW I use an AppleTV as my HomeKit hub. Everything else HomeKit works perfectly. I ran out of things to do. I rebuilt the 1-2-3 reset agreement on the bridge and started from scratch. Reset the bridge, reload the app, yadda yadda. Reset the router. I tried to use a reserved IP address. Reset my AppleTV. Nothing. Soooo, does anyone have any idea how to get him to cooperate with HomeKit? Thanks!
