So I installed 2 Lux sensors. Micro-review is: - I'm from Mi Home - Purchased from eBay - $ 15 per pop, about a month to ship to the US - Work with the Aqara v1 hub (thanks to @jazzhustler for review and suggestions with the association : https://homekit.blog/2020/01/27/mi-light-sensor-review/) - Poll / update every few seconds (!!!) - About a billion times better than the stupid experience on that I had with Hue (glad to get rid of it. It was a mistake from the beginning) - Lux sensors don't seem to appear in the main reading at home, even if you add the status (maybe I have too much status or maybe it's a HK bug, not sure) - Displays in the state of a specific camera - Multiple sensors are averaged directly in the status reading - Siri will give you the range (not the average) if you request "brightness" in a room, but it in the most most get confused, thinking you want to change a light / dimming level. So that's it. I hope this helps someone! The biggest thing is the voting time. It is actually useful enough to be used in automation. For that purpose, did anyone actually do * this *? Luxury seems strange; "Daylight" is like 400 lux, but "direct sunlight" seems to range from ~ 3000 to 32,000. It is not very clear to me what should be set to block a rough door in the middle of the afternoon facing west (ie a little shade a bit) compared to what is just the normal day. Just curious if anyone did anything with them. I love hearing your experiences and ideas!
