Mi is a leading electronic company, renowned for its mobile phones and laptops. Mi's new move to home convenience products is just as promising. Mi recently developed new intelligent LED bulbs compatible with Apple HomeKit and Siri Voice Control. The Xiaomi team said via a blog post:
While Xiaomi is constantly improving, we remain committed to providing the best intelligent lighting experience to our global users. We are pleased to announce that our Mi LED Smart Bulb officially supports the Apple HomeKit.
Xiaomi announced the new light bulb stating that its users can remotely control using the Siri or Siri voice command on their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It will be much easier to control your lighting mechanisms because users can easily turn on or off and adjust the color and brightness of their Mi LEDs via Siri.
To color your home with Mi light bulbs, simply update the firmware of the corresponding device to the latest version, then follow the instructions provided in the product's user manual to link it to HomeKit. Finally, the system will be ready and you can then enjoy the convenience of HomeKit via Siri on your Apple devices.
Apple HomeKit is the latest major platform to support our most popular smart lighting products. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are also integrated with these products. Our customers will have less to fear when designing their smart homes. We will continue to improve the overall user experience and move closer to our goal of providing everyone with a versatile and ubiquitous smart home experience. - Xiaomi team
Currently, three Mi devices supporting Siri voice control are: Mi LED Smart Bulb, Mi 2 Bedside Lamp and Mi LED Desk Lamp 1S. These bulbs have a tested life of 25,000 hours. The company says that if the bulb is used on average 6 hours a day, it will last about 11 years.
Mi is surely changing the definition of the convenience of pipes and we hope she will continue to do so in the future.
