They have a small apartment with a small bedroom and a living-kitchen area. The zones are not separated by a wall and I was wondering if buying a motion sensor for both zones is enough to then set up a few automations so that only one zone lights up. Is this possible or will the motion sensor not distinguish such a minimum distance between the two areas? Also, what are some good brands of motion sensors that aren't too expensive?
