Multiple Homekit Admins and Apple TV

Cupertino, October 5, 2021

Is it possible to add an Apple TV to a HomeKit home you are invited to?

For example, my dad is the owner of the main HomeKit home, and I am added as an admin with edit permissions.

I have bought myself an Apple TV, and currently am the only one signed into it, however I can’t add it to the Home we use. It seems like the only option is to create a new Home?

Should I be asking him to add his account to the TV? Or does his account need to be the primary one on the ATV?

I know there was some weirdness with my HomePod mini when I first got it, but I think it’s set up properly where I own the device but it appears in the HomeKit Home that I am invited to.
