My answer on the Sengled Hub

Cupertino, March 17, 2020

So I've been using Hubitat through Homebridge to control my Sengled devices for some time, but Homebridge is pretty bad with the lights (from my experience). With the announcement of the new Sengled hub, I decided to receive it and move my stuff to it and I wanted to share my experience, because reviews are missing online.

I configured the hub using the Sengled Home application and added my bulbs. Very simple and fast application is about ... Mehhh to be honest. After configuring and updating the firmware, we connected the following devices:

* Sengled Smart Window & Usor Sensor
* Sengled Element Color Plus Smart bulb
* Sengled Smart LED multicolor Light Band
* Bec Sengled Smart Daylight A19 Bec
* Sengled Smart LED (Classic Element)

Then I scanned the Homekit code from the bottom of the Sengled hub and all that I added. One thing to mention, however, was NEVER in my name from the Sengled hub, so I had to turn the lights off to properly name them. I also called for their assistance, as I was interested in getting some of their smart jacks and wanted to see if their jacks are Zigbee repeaters and they told me that none of their devices are repeaters. Everything I sell (Zigbee) are end devices.

Their recommended action is to have multiple hubs and divide your devices between them. Their application will handle multiple hubs and you can connect multiple Sengled hubs to Homekit. He was very nice to work with Sengled and I have been a fan for a while.

If anyone has questions or quizzes, I'm happy to try something.
