My observations on running iOS 17.0.1 and hubs running 16.6

Cupertino, September 23, 2023

Just putting this out there for posterity before I finally update everything and totally forget, lol. I updated my iPhone from 16.6.x to **17.0.1**. Apple TV 4K second generation and five HomePod minis running **16.6**. On the "old" HomeKit architecture. Once the iPhone restarted after installing the competition, about 20 devices showed no response. I manually rebooted a few of my HomePods and within 10 minutes everything was fixed and all devices are good. In hindsight, I should have just left her alone and seen what happened. I guess it would have resolved itself. Away from home, I launched the Home app and started watching my HKSV cameras while on mobile - no problem, the cameras started streaming straight away as usual. The cameras are a mix of eufy 2C Pro and 2 Pro. A bug noticed is that the Talk button appears despite eufy cameras not supporting it. All geofence automations, both for departure and arrival, are working normally. TLDR is iOS 17.0.1 + Hubs on 16.6 = everything works fine. Probably upgrade the hubs to 17.0.x whenever the next bug fix release drops.
