MyQ Home Bridge - HELP !!!

Cupertino, July 16, 2019

I'm about to be at my end. I have searched the entire internet and have spent hours on the phone with Chamberlain and it still can't seem to get my HomeKit myQ setup running (again).

Background:

My physical setup = 3 garage doors, all with non-Wi-Fi Liftmaster openers.

My myQ setup = 2 myQ garage hubs (1 hub for 2 doors, 1 hub for the third door), a myQ sensor on each garage door and a myQ Home Bridge for HomeKit compatibility.

I got this exact setup started for a couple of years now, starting with just the myQ garage and then adding the Home Bridge when it was released. As has been discussed, the Home Bridge setup is not well documented, and I have yet to see good instructions for adding more than one hub and / or 2 doors to the Home Bridge, although it can support up to 16 devices. It took an hour + walkthrough with a Chamberlain rep to get it started in HomeKit, through a series of steps that I can't seem to reproduce. Despite the painful setup, it went well for approx. 2 years until one of my sensors disappeared from the app.

I called Chamberlain support because everything I tried based on their online instructions and various searches led to no help. First they asked me to basically start from scratch (delete all the devices from the app, factory set the hubs and bridge, add the hubs and doors without the HomeKit bridge), so I was back to my pre-HomeKit setup and it works fine. Then he walked me through the setup of the home bridge, and we could connect the bridge, a hub and a door. We then tried to add another door manually and it seemed short and then disappeared. Everything else we tried didn't work.

I had to go back to the factory settings, add everything again, and try again with the home bridge ... and again it didn't work. I've tried, from factory default to home bridge now dozens of times, with Chamberlain and alone, and I can't get Home Bridge / HomeKit setup to work. I know it must work because the same equipment, same house, same doors, the same worked fine for 2 years. And now even Chamberlain seems unable to figure out their own things.

HELP!!!!

tldr; I had myQ Home Bridge, which worked with 2 myQ hubs / 3 doors for years, had to reset everything, now I can't get Home Bridge to work again.
