Nanoleaf update

The My Home application says that there is an update available for my Nanoleaf lights and that I can access it in the Nanoleaf Smarter Series application. I never downloaded or configured this, as I added the light strip and light bulb directly inside the Home. Did anyone have a problem opening / configuring Nanoleaf after this? The Philips Hue app sometimes changes all the light bulbs in my rooms and others. There have been posts about how Apple should allow updates to be distributed through Home itself, so I won't continue
