For over a year I have had two simple automations: turn off the lights when I leave. Turn on the lights when they come home. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the Lighting Automation lights up my lights in random colors that I haven't set before. Whether it's blue, pink, cold white, warm white, it's completely random. This has never happened before and I tried to delete the automation and reset it, and the problem persists. The automation worked well this morning. I haven't updated my iOS, Hue app, or any of the bulbs today. What causes this?!? I'm pulling my hair out here. Edit: I found the solution. When setting up automation, you need to press and hold the accessories (the lights you want to automate) and slide the brightness to 0%, then release. * Then * tap the accessory once and it will change the action to "Lights on", which will simply turn on the lights again at whatever their last color / scene was. Hell, it was annoying. I'm not really a HomeKit fan.
