Hello! I am looking for a portable AC unit that is 6k BTU & compatible with the Apple Home app in the USA for a small bedroom that’s about 250sq.ft. (portable AC units I speak of stand on the floor & have an exhaust tube that installs in the window).
I would prefer native HomeKit integration, but I’m already running Homebridge & have an extra BroadLink IR device, so Homebridge is wide open if I need to go that route. I’d prefer wifi, but could use IR if I had to use Homebridge.
I haven’t found any portable ACs that are native HomeKit, just a couple window units & thermostats. Please let me know if you know of any.
Either Midea or HiSense are looking like my best options for a wifi unit bridged in. I wonder if anyone uses one with Homebridge & if it works well? What should I avoid or look out for? Share your exp…
