Nest replacement: can HK temperature sensors control HVAC?

Cupertino, October 17, 2020

Hi all.

I have a few Nest 3rd geniuses and a bunch of nest temperature sensors that replace them with HomeKit.

One of the most important parts of the equation is that our nest system can use any of the rooms with sensors to control the effective start / stop of HVAC.

Our thermostat is practically under a vent and this confuses the room temperature, because the unit is cold and the rooms are still hot. So I set the nest to use one of the rooms instead.

Is this possible with HK?
