First the obvious - no HKSV support which has let down a lot of people. Putting that aside, this is a native HomeKit doorbell which for me has worked incredibly well.
Now to the actual post. My doorbell finally got the 2.22.x firmware, and I’m blown away by the new functionality that will add a few seconds preceding detection to the actual recording. Whereas before I would get a recording when someone was maybe 5 feet from my door, I am now getting recordings that start with the person not even in view yet. Absolutely loving this update.
Description per Netatmo:
> Add Advanced Recording feature. In this mode the Doorbell will add the few seconds that precede a detection event in the video recordings. This mode is enabled dynamically if the electrical power is sufficient and if the product remains inside the correct temperature range.
