Electrician came today to install transformer and my Netatmo doorbell. Long story short, he ran into some issues.
When I went to reset the device, which you must do by plugging in the micro USB cable, it all seems to function over USB power.
Obviously you miss out on having a regular chime, but you may not care about that. Or you may have a HomePod for use instead.
I am yet to decide if I will keep it running over USB or fix our transformer/chime issues. If I go with USB I will need to find a way to channel the cable into the back and still have it flush against the wall.
