New Apple TV 4k vs Old as home hub

Cupertino, July 13, 2021

I'm trying to find the best hub for my use case between the new and the old Apple TV. I know for the best reliability, connecting Apple TV via Ethernet is the way to go. However, I do not have Ethernet on any of my TVs. To do this, I should store my Apple TV in my network cabinet. That's why I'm leaning towards the old Apple TV, because I don't think I'll use any of the real features, because I mainly broadcast via Emby on the Chromecast for TV. I don't have HKSV cameras in my network. The new Apple TV obviously has wires and Wi-Fi 6. Would it be as reliable or "good enough" compared to an old wired Apple TV? I currently have an Eero Pro, but I intend to get the Wifi 6 version in the future. I know the new version has Thread, so I'm not sure if this will make the devices more reliable as others start to adapt. So for my use case, which would you prefer to be the best?
