Hello everyone! Thank you in advance for all your advice and suggestions.
My parents recently moved in with my brother and me. One of their biggest worries is to leave their house unattended (completely acceptable). Sometimes they forget to leave their outside lights (and some inside) on, so they worry that the house will look unoccupied and someone might enter.
That being said, I would like to know what types of HomeKit lights or accessories I could buy to remotely turn on / off their indoor / outdoor lights. I understand that HomeKit could only work when connected to the same Wifi, so I would like to know if there are completely remote options.
I'd like to keep it as simple as possible, but if he asked me to change switches or contact an electrician, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
