I currently own a second generation AirPort Time capsule (a tall one). It currently has 20-30 devices connected to it, depending on how many people are at home. I'm moving into my own house and I'd like to leave the AirPort Time capsule to my parents. So far, Meross dual sockets, Meross MSG100 garage door opener, 5 HomePods, 2 HomePod minis, various iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, printers, TVs, Apple TVs, etc. works well. I always had it [issues](https://www.homekit.blog.com/r/HomeKit/comments/nr4z32/meross_smart_plug_mini_wifi_issues/) with HomeKit [devices](https://www.homekit.blog.com/r/HomeKit/comments/nbal1i/wemo_smart_plug_issues/), the same annoying "advice" I get is "get a new router" or "upgrade your network." a newly renovated house (2,500 square meters) and unfortunately there are no ethernet plugs and I really don't want to drill and run wires in something that was JUST renovated last year. The old house has AirPort in the middle of the house and using Siri to open the garage door hands free on the alley is such a disaster, I use the clicker on the sun visor. I don't care if the router is HomeKit itself, although it would definitely be great. Do I think I need a mesh system with one at each end of the house? Someone suggested a Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Dream Machine ($ 300) (not a mesh unit), someone else suggested a Linksys Velop AX4200 ($ 399) or a Wi-Fi mesh mesh eero Pro (3-Pack) ($ 400) or maybe a Netgear Orbi AX4200 WiFi Mesh System (RBK752) ($ 449). I'm going to finally start using Lutron Cassette switches with their solid hub, because this is my place and I'll be there for a while. I will have a few roommates, so this router should support more than the current 20-30 devices my family has now. TL; DR: What is a good modern router for over 2,500 square feet that HomeKit devices will connect to?
