My wife and I just bought a new build from a builder that includes several smart features as standard. Each house has the following characteristics:
Echo Dot,
Schlage® EncodeTM Smart Wi-Fi Lock with Keyboard and Deadbolt,
Honeywell® T6 Pro smart thermostat,
Ring® Pro video button
I'm only planning to get rid of Echo Dot, as my wife and I are completely in the Apple Environment, but the rest seems like a pretty good start with HomeKit AFTER I put it in HomeBridge, because I already have some Raspberry Pi.
My questions are:
What should I add to this first thing to really take my new home to the next level?
Should I start with a HomePod or go with the AppleTV option? Which was more useful?
What did you do at home first and what do you regret waiting to do?
