New in HomeKit Ecosystem

Cupertino, January 7, 2022

So my wife and I are going to buy a new house this year. In our current home, we use Google Home and Nest products. Since my wife and I have Apple devices and several Apple TVs, we're thinking of switching to HomeKit. One of the biggest complaints I have about the Google ecosystem is the lack of integration between their products (the fact that there are no buttons to unlock the front door lock when someone rings my nest rage makes me angry). If you've had Nest devices before and switched to HomeKit, what did you like about the new ecosystem? What are some devices I should look into buying? I will look for thermostats, door locks, doorbells, exterior / interior rooms and possibly a security system. Thanks!
