I bought this about two months ago, but I withheld the installation because of all the horror stories I've seen here. I took the 24V transformer and connected it temporarily. My house has no sound other than a mechanical one in the door, so I knew I would need this option and use the HomePods as bells. It seems to be working well so far, although I've noticed (as many have) that things are going well. Not even so hot today, so I'll be curious to see what it brings tomorrow. I see that there is a new firmware in the beta version that should solve quite a lot of problems. Hopefully it will work even cooler, I'm not too excited about how hot it is.
