Hey! So I'm very new to Apple HomeKit, but wanted to switch from Google because I just got an Apple TV and a HomePod Mini. For the past 4 days I've had countless problems trying to add these devices to my HomeKit because my TV won't respond to any voice commands and I can't properly assign it to a camera in the AP TV settings. Also, I had a HomePod Mini that I tried to set up, but it was stuck in "setup" for 2 days. I tried several restarts and followed all the advice online, trying to add it to different rooms etc, but nothing worked. I came to the conclusion that the HomePod was defective, so I exchanged it for a new one. However, I still have the exact same one as new! I know it's not the internet because I just upgraded to a Mesh Wifi which has lots of availability for new wifi based smart home products. If anyone has any advice please let me know because this is driving me crazy haha.
