NSCocoaErrorDomain when adding EcoBee (two different devices)

Cupertino, April 27, 2024

I just received a pre-owned EcoBee with voice control for Siri and I thought it had issues because it keeps failing to add to HomeKit. A strange NSCocoaErrorDomain: 134040 popped up every time. Does anyone get this too?

I decided to install EcoBee 3 Lite previously and to my surprise... the same error is happening now. I really thought we shouldn't have reset it just to make sure the new one would be ok - big regret after the fact.

Reset multiple times and painfully reset my router (always a pain to make sure all devices were reconnecting).
