Old iPhone repair ideas

Cupertino, May 14, 2021

Hello everyone, I have several old iPhones (4, 5, 6S, 7) that are not used at all and I am looking for some ideas for them. So far, the ideas I have in mind are: - Use it as an RTSP camera, it seems there is a lot of information about it, so it should not be a problem. - For use as a Homekit dashboard. - At this time, I'm not sure if it's possible to keep the iPhone with the screen always on or if the device will support it, in the end these screens aren't always meant to be turned on. - Another point I would like to know is if there is any existing option to display homekit in landscape mode in iPhone or maybe in a third party application. Another idea I have, but I'm not sure if it's feasible is to use it as a video ringtone. In this regard, I have some ideas in mind, but I do not know which one is the best or whether they are feasible. Of course, it should be fixed and protected from being robbed, perhaps creating a kind of mask that even makes it impossible to recognize that it is indeed an iPhone. Other ideas would be to use guided access mode to create a kind of button on the screen, as soon as this button is touched, it will launch the ringing workflow. This button could be a shortcut, for example. What I'm not sure about is whether it would be possible to use two-way sound or even better to use the screen to display information to the person in front of the door or even to make a video call (Facetime¿?). I would really appreciate your ideas / support and would also love if you could share any other reuse ideas for old iPhones in smarthome topics. Thanks
