I saw a mention of these somewhere on homekit.blog and decided to take the plunge. I bought 2 from the known online vendor with customer service issues and they arrived yesterday. The only issue I had with them was that I feel like removing the battery cover is mislabeled. The battery cover must be turned counterclockwise to open. Once the batteries have been installed, they can be added to the Home app in the usual way. Once added, the buttons can be programmed in a simple way. I put one in my bedroom and one next to the home theater setup. I purchased these mainly because a simple button press is so much better than arguing with Siri. Each button can be programmed for 3 functions and there are 5 buttons. A set of adhesive labels is included. There are also several mounting options. It works like a proverbial charm. The only thing that will have to be judged from experience is battery life. If it's not obvious, I'm very happy with their purchase and it gives me some freedom to be away from my various Apple devices.
