I am looking to set up video around my house and want to either store the recordings on my home server or iCloud. The features I am looking to have are --
1. Record for x number of days/hours
2. Able to view recordings easily on the phone
3. Able to set automated notification policies based on time. For example, send notifications if it detects a person between the hours of 8PM and 7AM.
4. Live view
I understand HomeKit Secure video provides me this ability but I have not seen the notification support listed. Is it supported and did I miss it?
Do folks here recommend buying devices with HomeKit support and set it up or are there better options? I mean, I am seeing these "adaptors" like Homebridge that can help install other devices also. In such a scenario I am not sure if all the above functionality is met or not.
If it helps in your recommendations, I am ok to install and set up home servers if needed and also write code/scripts.
