I have a lot of echoes all over the house. I received many of them for free from Amazon re: invention. I have activated about 58 skills and I have a pretty sweet configuration with Hue bulbs, Apple TV, automatic pet feeders, WiFi fryer, etc.
For a long time I wanted to use HomeKit more than Alexa. I became more and more concerned about Amazon's privacy practices. There is a certain loss of automation in making a complete move, but I feel that between running a Homebridge server and shortcuts, I can accomplish most of it.
Do you want any of you there to do a full conversion? I just got a mini HomePod today and I really love it. It made me think of suffering more money on homepods. ðŸ˜
