Pet recognition with HomeKit

Cupertino, February 20, 2024

Hey good people. TLDR: Is there some kind of device that can recognize/identify pets that connect with HomeKit (even if via HomeAssistant)? Or plan B - a microchip reader? More context: Hoping to pick your brain to find a better solution for our cat when we're not home. We adopted her from the streets and she enjoys spending time on our little patio outside. We have a bunch of Eufy security cameras, gates and blinds, all connected via Homeassistant. We would like to install automations to give him access inside, but the problem is that we live in an area with many feral cats and they actually came into our house when they were away. Only "when motion or animal is detected" doesn't work.
