Uber announced on Thursday the expansion of its same-day delivery service Uber Connect, which is now piloted with users in the United Kingdom.
Uber Connect, the latest on-demand service from Uber Technologies, allows users to book couriers through the Uber ride-hailing app, with the ability to track packages while traveling, a "Receive a package" delivery option to request items from family friends, contactless pickup and more.
The delivery service was originally launched in the US in April 2020.

The service does not allow shippers to insure their packages against damage or loss and is only recommended for packages up to 13 kg.
