The HomePod mini Gen 2 should have a built-in battery and come with a wireless charging base. When you want to use it as a portable speaker, you’ll pick it up from the charging cradle and have a Bluetooth speaker. You want to put it back on the TV stand or in the kitchen, leave it in the charger and you’re good to go. Honestly, it feels like Apple missed the mark, without including this as a mini HomePod feature for starters.
