I just moved into a new house and decided to go with a select Lutron RA2 system. In my previous home I used Leviton switches based mostly on the fact that I don’t want another hub in the rack. What I never considered is how the hubs offer a bit of disaster recovery. With Leviton, if your HomeKit set is damaged, you need to add back all of these devices (20+ switches in my case). With a hub-based system, you just need to add the hub. Obviously, I know, but I’ve never appreciated that. Add increased reliability to the Lutron hub and it’s just a simple idea to bypass Lutron over Leviton (and probably all other switches).
