Problems with Eve light strip

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

I bought a strip of eve light this week. So far I'm not so impressed. The pairing was a pain in the ass, I had to turn off the 5 ghz internet on my router so that my iPhone could add it to My Home via the eve app. It works now, up to a point. Direct control is fine with on / off, dimming, color changes, all easily done through home or eve applications. But ... none of the automation works. Whether configured via Home or Eve applications, time-based or event-based (connected to other devices), it simply won't trigger it. Firmware update complete, so it's not. True shame, because it is a good quality light
