I recently set up an eve energy to control my water heater recirculation pump. I decided to use an eve power program, as opposed to a HomeKit automation, believing that it is more bulletproof because it will not be based on a hub and is built into the device itself. As I found out, it only takes a short power outage to make the eve's energy "forget" the program. I had to launch the eve app to "remember" the program again. Don't set it too much and forget it. So now I use HomeKit automation. I wanted to share this information.
