PSA: Yale Lock Assure SL with M1 module does not work with HomePod Mini (works well with HomePod)

Cupertino, January 30, 2021

I'm moving into a new house, so I bought a mini HomePod to be a hub for the new location, while keeping the HomePod in the old location. My Ecobee thermostat works perfectly, the Logitech Circle View works perfectly ... but the Yale Lock with the M1 wouldn't work with the mini hub at home. I managed to use the lock only in the Bluetooth range. Always "unanswered" and without error codes when it failed. Anyway, I tried to goog and couldn't find much useful help, but then I brought my HomePod to the new house and now it works perfectly. Are there two different Home Hub APIs implemented on these different hub devices? This seems strange to me.
