Question IR Aqara M2 Hub

Cupertino, October 22, 2021

Hi everyone, a question for the noob in HK (I have nothing but ATM bulbs / switches). I'm looking for a way to integrate my ceiling fan into my HK ecosystem, but I'm in the UK, so I don't have access to any native support fan. Currently, I have a ceiling fan with IR remote control that has no problems, but the controller is not something I could change to use an external switch without much pain. Therefore, I look at options to use this unit and something that will run IR commands currently on the remote control. Again, the UK market is not really full of options 😢 however I came across the Aqara M2 which seems like a perfect solution ... IF it can work the way I want! So my question is: can you assign IR commands to separate entries in HK? What I would like to do is treat the fan and the light as two separate devices in HK. Thanks in advance (and sorry for the rambling message) !!!
