Questioning the hypothesis that an Apple TV with wire (2021) is the best hub ...

Cupertino, November 19, 2021

Let me start with an overview. I have an Apple TV from 2021 connected to the network (cat6). It works perfectly. Running the speed test on it, I have my maximum internet speeds 900/40. I have a solid network. None of my devices show any response. I also have 7 HomePod minis. By the way, when my Apple TV is the hub, I get * a lot * of "just a second" and "it takes me some time" from Siri. Restarting Apple TV has no effect. When I disable the hub's ability to force a HomePod mini to be a hub, all "just a second" and "duration" disappear, and Siri's responses are faster. I'm beginning to question the somewhat accepted idea that a modern wired Apple TV is the best hub. Thoughts?
