Questions about the new shortcuts integration

Cupertino, July 16, 2019

It seems that the new HomeKit shortcut compatibility really opens up some good new opportunities for us. I have a few questions about its implementation:

* Does this mean that any shortcut can be downloaded from HomeKit?
* Does it mean that any HomeKit automation / action can be called from shortcuts?
* When you create a shortcut that you want to include in HomeKit, how do you get it displayed in HomeKit?
* Are all HomeKit automation containing shortcuts personal (only the creator sees them)?
* Are the (personal) shortcuts involving HomeKit running on the local device, and if so, what if the local unit is not available at the scheduled time? Or do they run on the hub with other automations (even if they are personal) (Maybe that's why shortcuts are now built into the operating system; it's also built into tvOS to run HomeKit automation that contains shortcuts)?
* Can any iOS app that supports shortcuts now be automated / called from HomeKit?
* Does the availability of shortcuts allow integration with HomeKit to create complex, logical, multi-conditioning automations?
* Integration shortcuts will eliminate the need to create virtual switches in Homebridge?
