Recommendation for Homekit switches that fit into an existing wall switch

Cupertino, May 12, 2020

I have a switch in my apartment that controls two Hue lights in my closet. I have a cover over that light switch (keeping it always on) and a mini Aqara light switch attached just above it to control it. This solution does not look the best and I am looking for a more elegant solution.

There are smart switches that will replace the ones that replace the existing switches that do not actually activate the switch power, but rather a HomeKit scene. Therefore, the switch retains the power of the circuit at all times and switches only the HomeKit scenes.

I know there is Hue Lutron's friend Auroa - but from what I've read, HomeKit is not compatible.

I know there is a Hue Dimmer Switch, but I don't know much about electricity and I don't know if it would be safe to just plug the power out of the box to always be connected, remove the physical switch and find a light switch mount for the Hue Dimmer Switch - I think that could be an option as well. (I know Lutron also has a wireless switch, but you need solutions for it to control HomeKit scenes)

I did a lot of research and couldn't find a perfect solution for what I was looking for. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
