Reliability of HomeKit and sensors?

Cupertino, March 6, 2024

You have a second home in another state. I like the idea of remote cameras, leak sensors, and door locks - which they give me through HomeKit. My question for this group is: how *reliable* is it? I've seen far too many systems that require periodic reboots; or that do not recover well from a power/internet outage. I would like this to be very reliable; to be able to work without someone physically coming to the house to reboot, etc. essentially unsupervised, only remotely for possibly two months at a time. Comments? What was your experience?
