Remote access disabled after iOS 13.1.2

I can't access HomeKit from any of my iOS devices remotely after upgrading to iOS 13.1.2 (it worked on iOS 13).
I have two Apple TV's (one 4K the other regular), both are on the latest version.

Both Apple TVs appear as disabled on the HomeKit app. I restarted one of them and still have the same problem ... any tips?
