Room Notices - Clarification needed

Cupertino, February 15, 2024

Hi everyone, I searched this subhomekit.blog but didn't really find an answer, sorry if I missed something! So my question is - I would like to receive notifications from my cameras in HomeKit when I'm away and in the evening after 11pm (even when I'm home). I understand this is not possible natively. It's either the time or it depends on the location of the people. I found a workaround here with focus etc, but I'm not too keen on it. I use a dummy switch in Homebridge to arm/disarm the system. I also have Home Assistant available (Homebridge, Home Assistant and Scrypted, all running on a dedicated NUC) and I have a Controller subscription for HomeKit. To give more information: I have 4 Reolink cameras (using Scripted) and 1 Aqara G3 hub, my wife and I both use iPhones and as Hubs we have two Apple TVs. I am very happy to pay for Pushcart or any third party app that would allow the above. The reason is that Reolink sends too many false positives, in our case HKSV is much more accurate. When either of us is at home I trust that everything is fine (we live in a pretty safe place) so I wouldn't want any notifications then, but I would like to get notifications at night. I also thought about connecting the cameras to a smart light (Hue) that would turn on at night to alert me. However, such automation works natively only "when motion is detected", but camera notifications appear only when a human is recognized. Any pointers in the right direction are greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!
