Hi everyone, I’m closing a new house next week and I’d like to update my home network. I’m posting here here as opposed to working with r / homenet, because quietly, honestly, that community is above my head and I would prefer a HomeKit router. However, since I don’t think there are any HomeKit AX routers on the market, I look at all the options. Can anyone share their experiences with the following models?
-Netgear Orbi AX6000 or AX4200
-Asus ZenWiFi AX
-Linksys Velop MX10
-Arris SURFboard mAX AX11000
-eero Pro 6 3-pack (I know it hasn’t been released yet)
I don’t think any of them support HomeKit yet, but I think that in the end eero and Linksys will consider doing it on their AC routers. eero seems to be very nice, but they are owned by Amazon and who knows how the privacy will go. Orbi has mixed reviews. Ubiquiti products also seem to be very enjoyable, but I think it’s too complex for me. I’m looking more for a plug-n-play. Some features I would like are:
-Privacy (look at eero)
-Prefer the management of devices for our children
I’m sorry for the first long post, but my wife works from home and I need a plan in place until next week. So what are everyone’s experiences and what would you recommend? The Internet is Comcast / Xfinity 1GB. Thanks for the help!
