I have an older Samsung TV, unfortunately still very functional, and it has CEC; however, my AppleTV (4th generation) does not start it through the CEC, but, as we all know, through the IR remote control. I look at options to automate this functionality; however, I'm not sure what way to dig, because I'm venturing into this field. I see that Homebridge might be an option and I have a pi available to get this up and running, but I think my TV might be a little too old. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can approach this?
