SANS launches the "Works safely from home" kit for free

Cupertino, March 19, 2020

Lance Spitzner, Director of Security Information at SANS

Coronavirus has prompted organizations around the world to transition their workforce away from an office environment to work from home. However, many organizations do not have policies, resources, or training to enable people to do so safely.

In response, SANS Security Awareness, a division of the SANS Institute, created the "Working at home security" implementation kit. This free kit provides security awareness specialists with a step-by-step guide on how to quickly implement a training program for their remote staff. All the training materials and resources needed to ensure the remote, multilingual workforce are included in the kit.

Spitzner explains SANS Director Lance Sponsner, "Training materials are a combination of both our public resources and paid training materials. This complete kit includes videos, infographics, podcasts, newsletters and multi-language digital signage, all included in a single package that we provide as a free resource to anyone who needs it. We understand that this is a unique situation and we want to do everything we can to help the community secure its workforce in these uncertain times. "
